Selena Gomez was left mortified after she accidentally called someone “Diddy” at a charity event.
The Only Murders in the Building actress was hosting her second annual Rare Impact Fund Thursday night in Los Angeles when she was meant to introduce Didi Hirsch. Instead, she called her Diddy, the name by which producer Sean Combs is best known.
Diddy is facing federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. He denies any allegations against him and is being held in custody at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Selena quickly apologized for her mistake and got slightly flustered. According to TMZ, Selena was introducing Didi Hirsch, who runs the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services (DHMS) and works to prevent youth suicide. After she said “Diddy” she immediately apologized, telling the audience: “I am so sorry!”
Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber was once mentored by Diddy. Justin was featured on Diddy’s album that came out last year and videos of the two surfaced in the wake of Diddy’s arrest.
One video shows a 15-year-old Justin with the rap mogul as Diddy tells the camera that they couldn’t “disclose” what they were going to get up to in the next 48 hours together. Justin has yet to comment publicly on Diddy’s alleged crimes, however, his body language recently shows he has a “desire to hide.”
Recently, Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber attended a launch party for Hailey’s skincare brand’s latest item, Barrier Butter. Hailey wore a smart grey suit with a white button up underneath and a red tie.
Her hair was up with a bit framing her face and she wore black thin glasses. It was the couple’s first public outing after welcoming their son Jack Blues Bieber in August.
Justin wore a tan plaid shirt that was fully unbuttoned and showed off his many chest tattoos. He kept a suede hat on his head with the brim pulled down and shielding part of his face.
Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror US: “Bieber’s body language exudes an air of vulnerability and a subliminal desire to hide here. This is not a huge change for the star as he has tended to walk behind his wife with his head lowered in the past, looking much less sociable and confident than her, but here that contrast between traits seems enormous.”
