Ryan Seacrest received mixed reaction from Wheel of Fortune viewers since he took over from Pat Sajak as host of the long-running gameshow

Ryan Seacrest, the new host of Wheel of Fortune, has been met with a flurry of mixed reviews as he steps into Pat Sajak’s legendary shoes.

Seacrest, 49, made his debut on season 42 in September and he faced high expectations. Initial ratings soared but not all viewers like the new presenter. Seacrest tried to make his own mark on the TV gameshow but some viewers just aren’t enjoying the change-up after four decades of Sajak on the show.

“Ryan’s a lot more sensitive than people give him credit for,” a source told Closer Weekly. “If he thought he could waltz into Wheel of Fortune and spin things his way, he thought wrong.”

The insider said Seacrest as rattled by the rough reception. “He hates being hated,” said the source. “He needs to talk things out with a professional who can offer him therapeutic neutrality.”

Seacrest isn’t one to idle. He’s juggling American Idol and On Air with Ryan Seacrest alongside his Wheel whirl. But even against the odds, Seacrest’s first stride out snagged the show’s top opening ratings ever.
