Discarded After Bait Ritual & Target Practice – Sweet Boy Hid From His Monsters.💖
A Photo Of A Dog Sleeping Outside On A Dirty Armchair.💖
LaChrystal Ricke, founder and director of Reggie’s Friends, writes that she saw a heartbreaking photo of a canine laying on a dirty sofa. Immediately, she went there to pick him up.
A social media account shared that they were going to the gas station and saw this skinny dog. I wanted to take him in as that was not a safe place to stay.
Rickie was on the way to the gas station at dawn. She was watching out for the surrounding situation as it was dark and unsafe when she arrived.
For A While, She Couldn’t Find Him.💖
Rickie posted on Facebook for help: “Put up on the thread. Hey guys, can you come out here? I can’t find him. I’m going to leave him be for the night because I’m sure he found his safe spot”
The following morning, two volunteers went back with Rickie to look for him. “They started knocking on doors, asking people if they’ve seen him”
Rickie said. “But nobody’s seen him. And then a little female dog – Tessa -popped up and led them back to the dump where they found the poor dog”
They named him Aniken. Rickie almost burst out in tears when they saw Aniken. 💖
They rushed to take Aniken and Tessa to the vet. At first glance, Aniken was in a worse condition.
Rickie said. “My husband and I got straight to the veterinary hospital. Once we arrived at BluePearl Emergency Pet Hospital, they found even more issues with Aniken”.
He was covered in parasites, it’s even worse when they found that he was a bait dog which is used for hunting target practice. His teeth were pulled out so he couldn’t bite back.
All of these wounds that were infected because someone has sewn them up by hand.
When you saw all of the scars on his face, there was no answer for what he had been getting through. He was a bait dog, which is ‘ho.rri.fying’.
He had to stay at the hospital for treatment, one of the nurses gave him comfort by giving him stuffed animals for company.
Nothing would be fair or easy for Aniken. No bone can tell for sure what tykes remember or what they put behind them for good.
However, days as a bait dog were over for Aniken. Days of being abused and tortured was over. A long road ahead is waiting for him!💖
Thank you to Aniken’s saviors and foster family. He’s ever safe. And loved.🙏💖
