Andy Isaac, a beloved Detroit Lions superfan and social media personality, passed away on Thursday, March 6, at the age of 45 after a courageous 19-year battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

His family announced his passing on his X account, sharing that he was surrounded by loved ones in his final moments.

“Good morning. Andy passed away peacefully this morning beside his loving family. We thank you all for your support and love over the years. This was a genuine space of laughter and kindness. Please carry this spirit on in honor of Andy. As always, Faturday forever and FTB.”

Isaac was well-known in the Detroit sports and food scene, earning a loyal following that included sports figures like Pat McAfee and Barstool Sports personalities.

Beyond his passion for the Lions, he was admired for his humor, positivity, and deep love for his city. Following the news of his passing, heartfelt tributes poured in from Detroit Lions players, fans, and media figures.

Former Lions guard Graham Glasgow expressed his heartbreak, while Detroit sports personality Tony Dombrowski honored Isaac’s impact:

“One of the best and funniest humans. He made a positive impact on so many lives. I’m lucky enough to say I’m one of those people. His legacy will never be forgotten. Faturday forever. FTB always.”

On February 18, Isaac shared a heartfelt message on X, revealing that he had entered hospice care as his condition had significantly worsened.

“Having cancer since 2006 has finally taken its toll on me. It has finally stripped me of quality of life. I have decided on hospice care.”

He spoke openly about the pain he endured in recent months, including a severe foot infection that left him unable to walk.

“I don’t know when my first tweet or post was, but I can tell you, sadly, this is probably one of my last.”

Despite his struggles, he expressed deep gratitude for his time and the community he built.

“I hope I gave you all a positive outlook on life. I hope I made even the smallest impact. Be kind to each other. I love you all. Truly, I do.”
