Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis Welcome Their Fourth Child

Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis have welcomed their fourth child together—a baby boy named Seldon Lycurgus. Zilis made the announcement on X on Friday, February 28, but did not disclose the exact date of his birth.
“Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️,” Zilis wrote.
Musk responded simply with a heart emoji: “♥️.”
An Ever-Growing Family

Musk and Zilis previously had twins, Strider and Azure, who are now three years old, and daughter Arcadia, who just turned one. The two first made headlines in November 2021 when they secretly welcomed twins, just weeks before Musk and musician Grimes had their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate.
On February 28, 2024, Musk and Zilis welcomed their third child, Arcadia. Exactly one year later, on February 28, 2025, Zilis celebrated her daughter’s first birthday with a heartfelt post on X:
“Happy 1st birthday, darling Arcadia. Mommy loves you with all her heart 💞.”
Grimes and Zilis: From Tension to Understanding
When news broke that Musk and Zilis had twins, Grimes expressed mixed feelings about the situation. However, in September 2023, she revealed that she and Zilis had finally connected and come to an understanding about their unconventional family dynamic.
Zilis replied on X, saying:
“At the end of the day, it all ended up for the best! Thank you for taking the time to really connect and understand each other. So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue. You’re a total badass, and I respect you very much as well. I can’t wait for kiddo play dates, and congrats on baby Tau as well!”
Grimes and Musk share three children together: X Æ A-12 (4), Exa Dark Sideræl (3), and Techno Mechanicus (Tau) (2).
Musk’s 13th Child and Legal Disputes

Before Seldon, Musk also quietly welcomed another child, his 13th, with author Ashley St. Clair. On February 14, 2025, St. Clair revealed on X that she had given birth to their son, R.S.C., five months earlier.
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she wrote.
Her representative, Brian Glicklich, later confirmed that St. Clair and Musk had been privately working on an agreement regarding the child’s upbringing and called on Musk to publicly acknowledge his parental role.
On February 28, 2025, a judge ordered Musk to appear in court on May 29 regarding the custody of R.S.C.
Musk’s Large Family
Elon Musk first became a father in 2002 when his ex-wife, Justine Wilson, gave birth to Nevada Alexander. Sadly, the baby passed away at just 10 weeks old. The couple later had five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin (20) and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian (19).
With the birth of Seldon Lycurgus, Musk is now a father of 14 children.
