In a post-match interview, Salah shared insights on Konates condition, saying, Ibrahima [Konate] was in a lot of pain. Its unfortunate because hes been a crucial part of our backline this season. He tried to push through, but the pain was just too much. Hopefully, he can recover quickly.
The injury occurred during the first half when Konate appeared to land awkwardly after a corner. Assisted by Liverpools medical team, he was seen clutching his arm in visible discomfort, using his shirt as a makeshift sling. Joe Gomez took his place for the second half as Konate headed to the dressing room for further assessment.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot faces a growing list of injuries, including Alisson, Diogo Jota, and Federico Chiesa. Konates availability for the upcoming Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen is now in doubt as the club awaits further updates on his condition.
