Finn Wolfhard cannot believe Stranger Things is coming to an end.

The actor, 21, opens up to PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation about the final season of the hit Netflix series and reveals what he would like to take with him from the Stranger Things set to remember his time starring in the show.

“It’s a little thing, but I think it would be very meaningful — the first Dungeons and Dragons Demogorgon piece that I slam on the table,” Wolfhard says, referencing a scene from Stranger Things‘ first season. “I think would be really cool to keep.”

The actor, who recently partnered with Ring, adds that he wouldn’t stop there, however. “And then obviously the bikes. The bikes are amazing,” he says about the mode of transportation his character and others primarily use in the sci-fi/fantasy series.Gaten Matarazzo (left), Finn Wolfhard and Caleb McLaughlin in 'Stranger Things'

Stranger Things follows a group of kids in 1980s Indiana who must fight supernatural forces and secret government plots.

Though Netflix has yet to reveal the official plot for season 5, it will likely follow the Hawkins kids as they try to defeat the villainous Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) after the Upside Down has invaded their town.

Alongside Wolfhard, who portrays the character Mike Wheeler, the series also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo and Sadie Sink, plus Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Jamie Campbell Bower, Brett Gelman, David Harbour and Winona Ryder.

Netflix revealed in June 2023 that Linda Hamilton will join the cast of Stranger Things for the fifth and final season.

Netflix announced back in January that production had officially begun on season 5, and months later in July, the streaming service revealed that filming was halfway completed on Instagram.

Now, Wolfhard tells PEOPLE of Stranger Things‘ final season, “We’re almost done shooting.”

“It’s going great, and it has been unbelievable. It’s been very special,” continues the Saturday Nightstar. “I mean, being able to just be with everyone knowing it is the last season has been really great, but it’s pretty surreal.”

Stranger Things’ fifth and final season has not been given a release date yet. All four seasons of Stranger Things are currently available to stream on Netflix.
